Sketches

These are a few drawings taken from sketchbooks that used to sketch from life. Some of them are preliminary drawings that did in preparation for making paintings. For example, when painting my watercolors outdoors, I usually did a preliminary sketch first. I find watercolors a little less forgiving than oils or acrylic, and doing a sketch helps me map out my composition first.
